Perfectly said MJ!!!
Good day at Sparta!! Enjoyed the pick a paper and work on it!
Long live Sparta!
It was great having good attendance at both Fight classes today. Great Fit class too.
“People get hurt at every place, we are just the only ones that aren’t scared to brag about it and think it’s awesome when clients injure themselves! (to current and potential new members)”
*Fixed
lol oh hey! I knew you’d show up again… just tryin to keep those obsessed with my sparta site entertained
Mommy that Sparta place is soooooo scary…….. LOL
Sarge, like it “:O) … way to go Ernie, can’t wait till I can look like you and IronHead and get my face on the poster … and for ‘cry baby’ … Iget an energy drink and head to LA Fitness … I heard they have a petite small T-shirt when you sign up … Long Live Sparta
I think it’s odd/weird that Mr. Crossfit doesn’t care for Sparta but continues to visit the site – obviously on a daily basis. It’s sad actually. Mr. Crossfit – let it go.
Have you ever thought, Mr. Crossfit, that we’re just egging you on so we can see your silly comments? You’re predictable.
LOL WOW! Do we really believe that our instructors think it is awesome when we “clients” injure ourselves? Or are they just proud of the clientele that they have? I would say the latter.
Two months prior to joining Sparta I threw out my back trying to pick up a pencil. Was it my friends fault for dropping the pencil?
My first week at Sparta I threw out my back trying to do a kipping pullup. “For real. That was likely because of improper instruction”, says Mr. CF. I sasy it was probably the fact that I was an over-weight pansy with zero mental/physical capacity for pain. Now, 85 lbs lighter, I have developed the physical and mental ability to push myself further than I ever hoped for, let alone what I thought possible of myself. Was this because my instructors held my hand, wiped my a$$ and kissed my boo boo every time I didn’t feel good. Hell No!!! It’s because Master Diaz and Master Jess gave me the lessons, the confidence and the tools to better myself.
Our instructors rejoice in the fact that there students, despite any accidents, have not only have improved there physical ability but the ability to say, “I’m NOT going to quit! I will endure”. We have also developed the courage to not hide behind alias’.
And for the “current and potential new members”… How great of a training facility must we attend, how awesome of instructors must we have, to yell at out to our instructors “Go grab the camera!” before even thinking about cleaning up a boo boo. Don’t forget to smile
Well said Ryan! If I were to injure myself, there’s no place I’d rather be than at Sparta surrounded by the medical professionals, EMT’s, firefighters and police officers who can assess and deal with any situation calmly. However, if you’re paying attention, mostly we have glorified boo-boos and get some great action shots of bleeding before it gets wiped off and the person finishes the workout — not gets carted off to the hospital. To each his own, but I’ll stay with Sparta!
Hey now, Jaxn. I get your point, but I like my alias, thank you very much.
Miss Annie
Here, Here! I’ll drink to all of the above Spartan comments!
Mr. CrossFit reminds me of the little schoolyard boy who picks on the girl he likes. He secretly loooooooves us and can’t get enough. SMOOCHES! I, for one, thank you for consistantly and predictably providing us with some extra entertainment
That is sooo funny, yet true, April! Just want to say that pike presses are my new favorite exercise!
I totally understand why Mr tough guy crossfit is doing all of this. Studies show, people who were neglected and had no family or friend support during childhood cause them to want and thrive on attention in there adult days. Hence the obsessive stalking MR Crossfit does on the Sparta website proves this conclusion to the tee. Whether Mr Crossfit is just one person or a group of neglected people, it’s quite flattering to know that we have people constantly checking our site to dread on the fact of what great, tough, and hardworking people we have here. It’s normal by nature to constantly research and poke at your biggest competition and who you see is your biggest threat. There are great crossfit places around which I’m sure suit the individual needs for their respected members which is very understandable but to drool over what we do at Sparta, showing envious feelings towards the fact that just because in a situation where one might get hurt, where you, MR crossfit would cry, stop the world from revolving and focus on your individual bobo, here at Sparta, we don’t. We make negatives into positives, helped more people accomplish life goals and truely do care about every single member we have and who have gone away. I really hope you do not have kids because what a horrible example to set, probably being the reason why you have such an alias. I hope you find it one day deep down inside ur soft and scared body to focus on your own life and stay out of ours.
Joey
HOLY CRAP!!!! MS. Annie is Ironhead?!?!
Say it Miss Annie like Batman does… “I am Ironhead.” LOL
Well said Mr. Joey.
VERY well said, Mr. Joey!
Mr. Joey you are so eloquent with your words. Impressive.
Long live Sparta!
Dear Mr/Ms/noncross fitter,
You are insecure, and have low self esteem I’m sorry you feel you need to take it out on others. Perhaps it was your upbringing, or the mere fact you just couldn’t cut it as a cross fitter. Whatever it is there is counseling out there for you.
Crossfit is not only about physical strength but mental strength, as well as, Commoradery and RESPECT . That of which is evident throughout Sparta and the crossfit community, clearly something you know nothing about……again there is counseling out there for you…. Good luck!
I had to go look through all the pictures to see if all of this really started just because of the pic of Ernie above. You know, the one where he’s SMILING.
I mean, c’mon… my kid sister nicks herself worse than that all the time while shaving her legs.
And she uses Nair.
Oh, and Mr. X-fit, what’s with the last word in your post???
Ouch! Now THAT musta hurt… but it is a bit TMI don’t cha think?
(though it does explain a lot of the theories shared above)
A year and half ago when I joined Sparta, I was about 20lbs underweight, had no self esteem and let everyone walk all over me. A year later, at 43 years old, I feel better than I have in my entire life. I look in the mirror and see someone I am very happy with; I’ve put on not only the 20 lbs I needed, but most of it is muscle. I’ve learned “no pain, no gain” and thanks to Master Diaz and Master Jess, I can do things I NEVER thought I’d be able to do. “I can’t” is no longer part of my vocabulary and NO ONE walks all over me these days. I have Sparta to thank for that – 100%. Yeah, I’ve gotten hurt. I think we all have at some point, but we “Suck it up, Buttercup” and keep coming back. That’s what makes us all the awesome people we are today. And Mr. Crossfit, I can honestly say I have never had the desire to stalk any other crossfit websites. I have my home here at Sparta.
By the way….I’ve had bigger cuts on my lip and never stopped puckerin. 3 year Sparta member and going strong.
Ernie, haha. Love it. Still puckerin!
Christie, great post.
Jester – always put a cool spin on things.
